LockBit 3.0 stolen data from Thales

Cyber Security Nov 2, 2022

Thales' information was purportedly stolen, according to the ransomware gang LockBit 3.0.

Thales is a leader in high-tech globally, employing more than 81,000 people. By putting people at the centre of decision-making, The Group invests in digital and deep tech technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, connectivity, cybersecurity, and quantum to create a future of trust, which is crucial to the growth of our societies.

On October 31, Thales was joined to the list of victims of the Lockbit 3.0 gang. If the firm does not pay the ransom, the gang has threatened to expose stolen data by November 7, 2022. The ransomware gang hasn't yet released any samples of the purportedly stolen data.

Because they haven't received any direct ransom notifications, Thales told Reuters, and have denied these accusations.

According to Thales, who has informed the French ANSSI national cyber security organization, they have noted that they have started an inquiry into the suspected security breach.
